Gabriela Kennedy, Partner - Hong Kong

Gabriela Kennedy is a member of the Executive Committee of iTechLaw and Immediate Past President . Gabriela is a partner of Mayer Brown and co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global Intellectual Property practice as well as head of the Asia IP and TMT group and co-leader of the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice. Based in Hong Kong, she advises multinational companies on a variety of technology, data privacy and data security issues in the context of complex technology projects, business processing outsourcing and the cross-border transfer of data, and advocates and before regulators in data breaches and cybersecurity incident response cases. A former theoretical linguist who specialised in computational linguistics, she speaks a number of European languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian and Portuguese and has a keen interest in machine learning and all things relating to AI.

Oliver Yaros, Partner – London, UK

Oliver Yaros is a partner in the Intellectual Property & IT Group, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy and Technology Transactions practices of the London office of Mayer Brown and advises clients on data privacy, technology transactions, outsourcing, IT, e-commerce and IP issues. On data privacy matters, Oliver advises clients on how to conduct global privacy compliance projects, how to prepare for and respond to data breach events and data protection reform such as the GDPR and Schrems II, conflicts in laws that prevent international transfers, Brexit, using data in the context of fintech, digital and “Big Data” analytics initiatives as well as in connection with IT outsourcings. Oliver also acts on global financial industry utility projects for banks relating to KYC, fintech and digital initiatives. Oliver is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in Europe (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Ana Bruder, Senior Associate – Frankfurt, Germany

Ana Bruder is a senior associate in Mayer Brown’s Frankfurt office and an active member of the global Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice. Ana advises clients in cybersecurity matters, in particular with respect to cyber preparedness and all aspects of cyber incident response (directing vendors, assessing and making required notifications, advising management teams and boards of directors, engaging with law enforcement and auditors, etc.). Her practice further focuses on data privacy matters, providing strategic advice relating to conformity assessments, privacy documentation and training. Ana’s data privacy practice also covers privacy advice in the context of international transactions, particularly focusing on international data transfers. Ana is a registered lawyer in Germany and Brazil, has twelve years of international experience as legal counsel and speaks English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.
